Ok, I have a funny story! Andy gave Riley a few dollars the other night for helping him with something. We told him we would start giving him a small allowance if he helped us with some things so he got $5.00 for helping Dad that night. Andy then asked him if he was going to hold on to it and get some more money saved up and then go pick something out or did he want to go find something with his $5.00. He surprised us and said ..Oh, I'm going to save it and get more money. So funny that a 6 year old would say that. Anyway, I looked at him and said well Riley you do have a can with alot of coins in it that Great Grandma Emma gave you last time we were in Oregon. His eyes got SOOO big and off he ran up stairs to get it. Of course we had to count it! When it was all said and done he had $30.00!! He was so excited. Now he wanted to go to the store!
When we got to the store the next day he cracked Andy and I up!! He wanted to know how much this and that was and a few things that when we told him it would take all his money he said...Oh, no I don't want that!! So funny!! Good learning experience that's for sure! Well we came to this scooter!!!! He LOVED it and wanted it. It was $38.00. We told him it would take all his money and some of Mom & Dad's. He sat there for a few and looked at it and said...Can I get it, I REALLY want that! So Andy and I chipped in $8.00 and he LOVES this thing. We have been going on walks at least every other day and he just rides that thing like crazy. So Funny!! So here are a few pictures from our walk the other day. We also have a skate park right by the walking trail so we stop and he rides around that for a bit too.
On to soccer! The kid LOVES soccer!! He gets so excited every Tuesday and Thursday when he knows he has practice. This morning when he woke up he said to me...Mom, I have soccer today, it's Thursday right? So that's where we will be tonight. Here's a few pictures from practice the other night.
That's about it here. I did stay up till 1:00am again this morning sewing! I got one border put around it and just need one more tonight and then I can put the back on it. I'm getting so excited to get it done. I'll post a picture when it's all done. I have done 3 or 4 baby ones lately and it seems like I get those done half way fast so doing a Queen size is taking me just a little longer to get done. LOL!! I want to get it done so I can sit at my scrap desk. I ordered 205 pictures about a week and a half ago and they are sitting on my desk just waiting for me to scrap them.
Well I hope everyone is doing well and has a good rest of the week!!! Bye!!
Good job Riley!!!! We can't wait to see you play soccer and ride your new scooter. And hug your sister. love G Sheree
